Health Equity: Confronting Bias in the Treatment of Non-Native Speakers of English reviews (1) trust-building strategies that support and include minoritized patients and families (including non-native speakers of English), (2) a healthcare professional’s duty to provide clinical discussions and appropriate patient education in a patient’s native language, and (3) the duty to fairly and thoroughly document the manner in which the patient/family was engaged and their concerns were addressed.
