Empowering Ob-Gyns: Leading the Way in Postpartum Depression Care

Join us on social media for three Journal Club discussions. Each session will take a deep dive into select materials—clinical practice guidelines, research studies, and clinical trials—that will help Ob-Gyn practices identify, treat, and support their postpartum patients’ mental health.

Session #1

View the following resources for information about postpartum depression (PPD) to learn more about: (1) screening and identifying this condition and (2) the need to engage patients in conversations about PPD in an informative, nonstigmatizing, and culturally responsive manner.

We want to talk about your challenges, questions, and practice needs. Please submit any questions you have regarding the screening and treatment of PPD for the faculty to address during the session below.

Stay tuned for upcoming additions of resources for Session #2 (April 21) and #3 (May 12), when our faculty will discuss:

  • Updates about initiation and management of psychopharmacotherapy for patients with PPD
  • The use of collaborative care models and other resources addressing barriers to perinatal mental health management
This activity is supported by an educational grant from Supernus Pharmaceuticals and Biogen.
