Med-IQ is hiring!  We are currently seeking an energetic Database & Reporting Analyst to join our exciting Technology Team.  The selected candidate will be expected to support all corporate Web/Database tasks, including the maintenance of current projects and deployment of new initiatives.  Knowledge and experience with relational and conventional database technology, data modeling concepts, tools and techniques a must!  This full-time position is based in our Baltimore, MD office.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Interpret business requirements and translate them into the design of regular and adhoc reports
  • Work with end users to deliver static reports, spreadsheets, dashboards, and business intelligence tools
  • Work with the technology team in all aspects of data and database administration, including hardware and software evaluation, logical and physical database design and implementation, and structured testing of database design applications and technology platforms
  • Diagram and document all work, whether it be procedural or technical in nature
  • Provide data to a variety of internal teams by designing and running queries and reports as needed
  • Maintain data integrity and security for all databases utilized including web, subscription, survey collection, and others as assigned
  • Analyze and report on web trends and data for use by internal teams
  • Analyze data structure and implementing solid testing plans
  • Support key marketing activities, including data management, list management, and market data compilation
  • Communicate ideas to non-technical peers, both via writing and oral presentations
  • Quality testing of various online platforms to ensure appropriate data is captured

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (or related field). Technical certifications preferred
  • 2-3 years progressive experience administering Microsoft SQL databases and SQL driven tools such as SSRS, MS Access
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of SQL programming and data model design
  • Ability to understand analysis/report requirements, execute data pulls, validate results, and present results in readable format
  • Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on projects
  • Ability to solve abstract problems and meet nonlinear requests
  • All qualified candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship or restriction

  • XML, HTML
  • Salesforce
  • Surveygizmo
  • Ideal candidate will also have some familiarity with Arcplan or ColdFusion (preferred but not required)
