BALTIMORE, MD—March 19, 2014—Med-IQ, an award-winning, ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), is pleased to announce the appointment of Allison J. Gardner, PhD, as vice president of educational strategy and content.

For the past one-and-a-half years, Dr. Gardner has served as director of educational strategy and content at Med-IQ. In her role as vice president, Dr. Gardner will provide strategic insights to help guide Med-IQ’s areas of clinical focus and the design of innovative educational platforms. She will continue to oversee the clinical content team, which consists of experienced professionals with advanced degrees in medicine, pharmacy, and biological sciences, who collaborate with leading faculty members and experts from around the country to deliver practice-focused education to ultimately improve the quality of care delivered to patients. She will also continue to work with Med-IQ’s grant development team to identify key knowledge and practice gaps and plan compelling, evidence-driven grant proposals to meet the continuing education needs of a variety of different types of clinicians practicing in diverse care settings.

Dr. Gardner has worked in CME since 2006. She joined Med-IQ as a clinical content manager in 2009. Prior to joining the CME industry, she spent 7 years in post-graduate scientific research and pharmaceutical quality assurance.

Dr. Gardner completed her undergraduate education in pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology from The Johns Hopkins University.
