Med-IQ.
Inspiring Medical Education.

BALTIMORE, MD—March 13, 2014—Med-IQ, an award-winning, ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), is pleased to announce the availability of a new, complimentary CME activity for dermatologists and rheumatologists,  Overcoming Therapeutic Challenges in Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis.

Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis are often under-diagnosed and under-treated. To improve outcomes for patients, dermatologists and rheumatologists must keep current with the latest guideline recommendations and best practices for diagnosing, managing, and treating these conditions.

This innovative educational activity is powered by Qstream, an exciting, new approach to CME that is based on the principles of spaced education, a learning methodology developed at Harvard Medical School that is proven to improve participant engagement and long-term knowledge retention. The activity is designed to present participants with CME questions several times over spaced intervals until they correctly answer the question and “master” the subject matter (learn more about Med-IQstream).

“This question and answer–based activity reviews current evidence-based treatment recommendations for patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis,” said Neil J. Korman, MD, PhD, Clinical Director of the Murdough Family Center for Psoriasis at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. “Using the principles of spaced education, participants are able to reinforce and retain learning through immediate feedback that provides robust guideline-based explanations on the standards of treatment for patients.”
