Inspiring Medical Education.

BALTIMORE, MD—March 4, 2014—Med-IQ, an award-winning, ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), is pleased to announce the availability of a complimentary CME/CE activity for neurology clinicians, Patient-Centered Care for Multiple Sclerosis: Exploring the Science, the Evidence, and the Patient Experience.

Effective patient-clinician communication and collaborative decision making are important elements in the delivery of quality care to patients with multiple sclerosis(MS). This CME/CE-certified activity explores contemporary evidence in the management of MS and offers healthcare professionals practical strategies for enhancing the patient-clinician relationship and associated patient outcomes. The activity also features patients sharing their experiences and challenges living with MS.

“To design successful treatment plans, we must fully understand the needs and preferences of our patients,” said Stephen Krieger, MD, Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis at Mount Sinai Medical Center. “This online activity offers clinicians an opportunity to listen to real-life perspectives of patients living with MS and explore strategies to enhance communication and identify patient-perceived barriers to treatment initiation and adherence.”
