“Several challenges hinder the timely identification of negative symptoms and cognitive deficits in patients with schizophrenia,” said John Kane, MD, Chairman of Psychiatry and Professor of Psychiatry and Molecular Medicine at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine. “Participants of this CME workshop series will have the opportunity to review strategies for recognizing and understanding primary and secondary negative symptoms and cognitive deficits in patients with schizophrenia and explore new therapeutic approaches available for managing schizophrenia symptoms in an interactive, small-group setting with expert faculty and fellow specialists.”

Each workshop will run from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.  Registration begins at 7:30 AM. Complimentary breakfast will be served.
