Med-IQ.
Inspiring Medical Education.

BALTIMORE, MD—February 5, 2014—Endocrine Society and Med-IQ, an award-winning, ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), are pleased to present a new audio-enhanced, CME-certified online publication for endocrinologists, Contemporary Updates and Expert Insights in Hypoparathyroidism.

This interactive publication reviews the pathophysiology of hypoparathyroidism and explores strategies for recognizing the patient impact and long-term complications related to this rare endocrine disorder. It also discusses methods for identifying symptoms associated with hypoparathyroidism, as well as appropriate diagnostic tests and current and emerging treatment options.

"Recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of hypoparathyroidism have the potential to be practice game changers." said William A. Mencia, MD, CCMEP, Vice President of Education and Medical Affairs at Med-IQ. "This initiative is designed to provide endocrinologists an overview of evidence-based practices to help enhance the care of patients with this condition. Through Web-enabled audio clips, Drs. Bilezikian and Clarke provide their expert perspectives on practical issues regarding state-of-the-art patient care, including the role of parathyroid hormone agents currently in clinical development."
