Inspiring Medical Education.

BALTIMORE, MD—November 27, 2013—Med-IQ, an award-winning, ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), is pleased to announce the availability of a new complimentary CME initiative in multiple sclerosis (MS) for neurologists.

Clinical Conversations in Neurology: Evaluating and Applying Contemporary Science in Multiple Sclerosis is a live, interactive educational activity that offers neurologists the opportunity to join their peers in a small-group discussion with nationally recognized MS experts about current questions and practice issues related to the use of disease-modifying therapies (DMTs).

The treatment of MS remains challenging for a variety of reasons, including a rapidly changing treatment landscape, a lack of definitive guidelines and algorithms to guide treatment decisions, a lack of validated tools for daily practice, and limitations of disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) and other available treatments.

“During these interactive CME teleconferences, we will outline strategies for using currently available agents appropriately, discuss the potential role of emerging agents, review approaches for monitoring treatment response, and explore methods of identifying and managing suboptimal response,” said Stephen Krieger, MD, Assistant Professor of Neurology of the Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis at Mount Sinai Medical Center. “Neurologists are invited to join my colleagues and me as we discuss challenges related to managing patients with MS and how to best utilize DMTs.”

The teleconferences are being held on the following dates:
