BALTIMORE, MD—August 27, 2013—Med-IQ, an award-winning provider of continuing medical education (CME/CE), is pleased to announce that its continuing pharmacy education (CPE) program has been reaccredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
ACPE is the national agency for the accreditation of professional degree programs in pharmacy and providers of CPE. ACPE's Continuing Education Provider Accreditation Program is designed to ensure and advance the quality of CPE, thereby assisting in the advancement of the practice of pharmacy. The program offers feedback to providers about their CE programs through periodic comprehensive reviews and ongoing monitoring of activities, with the goal of continuous improvement and strengthening. The renewal process for accredited providers includes the submission of an in-depth self-assessment in which the provider collects information on all aspects of its CPE activities as they relate to the Accreditation Standards for CPE, including educational content, delivery, assessment, and evaluation.
Med-IQ’s CPE program, which was first accredited in June 2007, was recently granted continued accreditation until June 30, 2019.
