BALTIMORE, Md.—November 29, 2012—Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurologic disease with numerous complexities that affect its diagnosis and management. Although significant advances have been made in the understanding of MS, treatment remains challenging. To help healthcare professionals understand how to appropriately integrate the latest clinical evidence in MS into treatment decisions, Med-IQ, an ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), developed an interactive, certified CME/CE activity that reviews current guideline recommendations, evidence-based treatment options, and the changing science and future perspectives in the management of MS.

Newsletter   The Evolving Therapeutic Landscape in MS: Insight From the Experts

Through the presentation of a comprehensive patient case, expert faculty discuss the rationale for initiating early and uninterrupted treatment with disease-modifying therapy, strategies for identifying appropriate candidates and individualizing their treatment according to current evidence, and the importance of monitoring for and responding to a suboptimal response.

“This certified CME/CE Webcast is a really valuable resource to healthcare providers who may be looking to enhance their knowledge and apply the newest science to the care of their patients with MS,” said William A. Mencia, MD, CCMEP, Vice President of Education and Medical Affairs at Med-IQ. “This is a great opportunity to hear from some of the leading experts regarding strategies to individualize treatment when considering emerging agents versus existing effective therapies.”
