MS is a complex neurologic disease with multiple challenges that affect its management. Clinical research, pivotal clinical trials, and progress in understanding the complex pathophysiology of MS and its complications have led to dramatic improvements in the recognition and management of the disease.

“These advancements have allowed for the development of more therapeutic options and a comprehensive approach to management, which in turn have increased the complexity of optimizing treatment for the individual patient,” said faculty expert, Bruce A. Cohen, MD. “During this live, interactive discussion, we will review the current evidence and consensus opinions for the management of MS to discover processes for enhancing practice performance and improving patient care.”

Audioconference participants can ask questions regarding the management of MS in advance or live on the telephone with Dr. Cohen. Clinicians interested in joining this complimentary Community of Practice audioconference can complete a brief online form, e-mail info@med-iq.com, or call (toll-free) 866 858 7434 to register.

This Community of Practice audioconference is part of the complimentary, certified performance improvement (PI) CME series, Performance Improvement Strategies in Multiple Sclerosis.

PI CME is an American Medical Association (AMA)-standardized, three-stage initiative designed to help you evaluate your clinical processes to improve your practice performance and optimize patient outcomes. The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed Performance Improvement Strategies in Multiple Sclerosis and has approved this program as part of comprehensive Performance in Practice and Lifelong Learning programs, which are mandated by the American Board of Medical Specialties as necessary components of maintenance of certification.

This series is sponsored by Med-IQ, an ACCME-accredited provider of CME, and supported by an educational grant from Teva Neuroscience.
