BALTIMORE, MD—November 12, 2010—Enrollment is now open for a complimentary, case-based Community of Practice audioconference to address the challenges of treating patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Oncologists, hematologists, and other clinicians who treat patients with TNBC can register to speak with faculty expert Edith A. Perez, MD, of Mayo Clinic’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, in this live interactive discussion on Wednesday, November 17 at 4:30 PM ET. This educational activity will provide participants across the country with the opportunity to review methods for effectively overcoming practice barriers in TNBC care. FACULTY
TNBC accounts for 15% to 20% of breast cancer diagnoses and is highly prevalent among young women, particularly premenopausal African Americans. An increased awareness of TNBC, including a concrete understanding of tumor characteristics at the molecular level, is critical to help clinicians improve the detection, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of this malignancy.
