For Immediate Release Med-IQ Wins Distinguished Alliance for CME Award |

BALTIMORE, MD—November 3, 2010—Med-IQ, America’s most respected continuing medical education (CME) company, is pleased to announce that it has been honored with the Alliance for CME’s distinguished 2011 William Campbell Felch Award for Research in CME for a program conducted with Duke University School of Medicine. The award-winning project, The Use of Antithrombotic Therapies in the Prevention and Treatment of Arterial and Venous Thrombosis: A Survey of Current Knowledge and Practice Supporting the Need for Clinical Education, explores a survey of 647 practicing physicians and their current beliefs, behaviors, and knowledge surrounding the use of antithrombotic therapies in the treatment of their patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), acute coronary syndromes (ACS), and venous thromboembolism (VTE). This research project was supported by an educational grant from Pfizer, Inc.
In addition, results of the surveys and educational gap analysis were published in the peer-reviewed journal, Critical Pathways in Cardiology.
