BALTIMORE, Md—March 4, 2010—Med-IQ and the Emergency Medicine Cardiac Research and Education Group (EMCREG-International) are pleased to announce a three-year partnership to collaborate on the development of high quality CME activities for emergency medicine physicians.

EMCREG-International’s leadership and network of academic clinical investigators, combined with Med-IQ’s sophisticated outcomes-based educational designs, will enable the pair to deliver distinctive medical education to emergency medicine physicians worldwide.

“Partnering with Med-IQ allows EMCREG-International to fulfill its mission to utilize the most innovative approaches to educational presentations, including symposia, enduring materials, Web-based formats, and other evolving approaches to transmit current medical information,” said W. Brian Gibler, MD, FACEP, FAHA, President of EMCREG-International.

Dr. Gibler also serves as Richard C. Levy Professor and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine; Director of the Center for Emergency Care at University Hospital, and President of UC Emergency Physicians, Inc.

Med-IQ is a leader in the development of cutting-edge, certified performance improvement (PI) and quality improvement (QI) CME initiatives. Under the partnership agreement, Med-IQ and EMCREG-International will collaborate on all emergency medicine CME/CE activities that either organization plans during the next three years.

“We recognize that there are many areas where education can help close the practice gaps that exist in emergency medicine, and this collaboration allows both organizations to serve as the premier source of CME, effectively providing emergency department physicians with the critical information that they need to improve patient care in this environment,” said Scott E. Weber, co-CEO of Med-IQ.
