  • Operating system - Med-IQ supports the current operating system, plus two prior releases:
    • Android (eg, Samsung Galaxy)
    • Apple (eg, iPhone/iPad)
  • Browsers - Med-IQ supports the default browser for the applicable operating system release, plus two prior releases:
    • Android (Chrome)
    • Apple (Safari)

Instructions for Enabling Cookies

To earn CME/CE credit you will need to have cookies enabled in your browser.

Desktop

  • Microsoft Edge
    1. In the top right, click the three-dot "More Actions" button
    2. Click "Settings," then scroll down to "Advanced Settings" and click "View Advanced Settings"
    3. Scroll down to "Cookies," and select "Don’t block cookies"
    4. Close the panel slide out
  • Internet Explorer
    1. Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner, then click "Internet Options" in the dropdown menu
    2. Click on the "Privacy" tab at the top of the window, and click on the "Advanced" button
    3. Check the "Override automatic cookie handling" box if it is not already checked
    4. Under "Cookies," check the "Accept" option for both "First-party Cookies" and "Third-party Cookies"; check the box to "Always allow session cookies"
    5. Click the "OK" button to close the smaller window, then "OK" to close the larger window
  • Google Chrome
    1. In the top right, click the dotted menu icon
    2. Click "Settings," then scroll to the bottom and click "Advanced"
    3. In the "Privacy and Security" section, click "Content settings"
    4. Click on the "Cookies" section to change your settings:
      • Turn on "Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)"
      • Turn off "Block third-party cookies"
    5. Close the opened tab
  • Mozilla Firefox
    1. In the top right, click the menu icon with three horizontal lines
    2. Click "Options"
    3. On the left side, click "Privacy & Security"
    4. Under the "History" section, change the dropdown menu option to "Use custom settings for history"
    5. Under the "Cookies and Site Data" section, click the option to "Accept cookies and site data from websites (recommended)"
    6. Change the dropdown menu option for "Accept third-party cookies" to "Always"
    7. Close the opened tab
  • Safari (MacOS)
    1. In the top operating system bar, click "Safari," and select "Preferences"
    2. Select the "Privacy" tab
    3. Under "Cookies and website data," uncheck "Block all cookies"
    4. Close the opened tab

Mobile

  • Android - Google Chrome
    1. In the top right, tap on the dotted menu icon
    2. Select "Settings," then scroll to the bottom and select "Site settings"
    3. Select "Cookies"
    4. Turn on "Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)"
    5. Check the box to "Allow third-party cookies"
    6. Click the home button
  • Apple - Safari
    1. On the home screen, go to "Settings," then select "Safari"
    2. Turn off "Block All Cookies"
    3. Exit "Settings"

Security & Firewall Instructions

For difficulties with downloading or viewing files or navigating the site, check the following internet security and personal firewall settings.

Desktop

  • Microsoft Edge
    1. In the top right, click the three-dot "More Actions" button
    2. Click "Settings," then scroll down to "Advanced Settings" and click "View Advanced Settings"
    3. At the top, turn off "Block pop-ups"
    4. Close the panel slide out
  • Internet Explorer
    1. Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner, then click "Internet Options" in the dropdown menu
    2. Click the "Security" tab at the top of the window
    3. Select "Trusted sites" in the rectangular box, and click the button called "Sites" underneath the box
    4. Make sure the checkbox at the bottom, "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone," is unchecked
    5. Select "Add," then click the "Close" button to close the pop-up window and click the "OK" button
  • Google Chrome
    1. In the top right, click the dotted menu icon
    2. Click "Settings," then scroll to the bottom and click "Advanced"
    3. Scroll to the "System" section, and click "Open proxy settings"
    4. Select the "Security" tab at the top of the window
    5. Select "Trusted sites" in the rectangular box, and click the button called "Sites" underneath the box
    6. Paste the URL for the website you would like to add into the field for "Add this website to the zone"
    7. Make sure the checkbox at the bottom, "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone," is unchecked
    8. Select "Add," then click the "Close" button to close the pop-up window and click the "OK" button
    9. Close the opened tab
  • Mozilla Firefox
    1. In the top right, click the menu icon with three horizontal lines
    2. Click "Options"
    3. On left side, click "Privacy & Security"
    4. Under the "Permissions" section, uncheck the box "Block pop-up windows"
    5. Close the opened tab
  • Safari
    1. In the top operating system bar, click "Safari," and select "Preferences"
    2. Click the "Security" tab
    3. Uncheck "Block pop-up windows"
    4. Close the opened tab

Mobile

  • Android - Google Chrome
    1. In the top right, tap on the dotted menu icon
    2. Select "Settings," then scroll to the bottom and select "Site settings"
    3. Select "Pop-ups"
    4. Slide the "Block sites from showing pop-ups (recommended)" button to the on/blue position so that it reads "Allowed"
    5. Press the home button
  • Apple - Safari
    1. On the home screen, go to "Settings" and select "Safari"
    2. Turn off "Block Pop-Ups"
    3. Exit "Settings"
