Description: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex neurologic disease with several challenges that affect its management. Now in its fourth year, this initiative is designed to help healthcare professionals assess their clinical practice methods according to current evidence and expert consensus and implement strategies for improving process-related care, including approaches to patient education, symptom assessment and management, and the initiation, assessment, and monitoring of disease-modifying therapies.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) has reviewed Performance Improvement Strategies in Multiple Sclerosis and has approved it as a Performance in Practice (PIP) and CME program—part of the overall ABPN Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
