Overview: This CME-certified publication, distributed as a supplement to U.S. Medicine, describes the assessment and treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS), with a special emphasis on the needs of patients treated within the federal healthcare system. This publication discusses the role of disease-modifying treatments, current methods for monitoring treatment response, approaches to wellness and symptomatic management, and the unique characteristics of and resources available for patients with MS treated within the Veterans Health Administration system.
