Inspiring Medical Education.

BALTIMORE, MD—August 19, 2014—Med-IQ, an award-winning, ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), is pleased to announce the availability of a complimentary online CME/CE publication, Individualized Interventions to Overcome Practical Challenges in MS: Frontline Perspectives and Expert Recommendations.

In recent years, the management of multiple sclerosis (MS) has been moving toward earlier diagnosis using new criteria and more immediate treatment initiation. Staying current with the many new and emerging agents for disease modification in MS is important but often challenging for busy clinicians, particularly nurse practitioners and physician assistants. This free publication explores the latest advances in caring for patients with MS, including starting treatment with disease-modifying therapies early in the course of the disease, routinely assessing disease status to identify suboptimal response to treatment, and developing effective, individualized treatment regimens.

“Optimal outcomes for patients with MS depend on careful adherence to therapy, and the factors that underlie adherence can be complex,” said Brant J. Oliver, PhD, NP, MSN, MPH, MSCN, Assistant Professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. “This activity helps clinicians remain fully up to date and offers an opportunity to explore the science that determines optimal management strategies.”
