Med-IQ.
Inspiring Medical Education.

BALTIMORE, MD—August 5, 2014—Med-IQ, an award-winning, ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), invites nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to watch a CME-certified Webcast on managing multiple sclerosis (MS).

MS remains undertreated for a variety of reasons, including a lack of consensus on treatment strategies in clinical guidelines and a rapidly growing number of recently approved and emerging therapeutic agents. Additionally, the definition of suboptimal response in MS patients is highly variable, and guidelines on monitoring strategies and treatment modifications are limited. The implications of these challenges are significant, particularly when considering the unpredictable nature of the disease, the capacity for severe disability, and the common concerns regarding adherence to therapy among MS patients.

To help clinicians review the latest evidence on emerging trends and discuss the safety and efficacy of available disease-modifying therapies, Med-IQ has sponsored the CME-certified Webcast, Beyond Initial Diagnosis: Expert Perspectives on the Ongoing Management of MS.

“This educational activity provides healthcare professionals with optimal strategies for individualizing treatment of their patients with MS,” said William A. Mencia, MD, CCMEP, Vice President of Education and Medical Affairs at Med-IQ. “Participants will also gain insights on identifying methods for monitoring disease status, assessing treatment response, and identifying suboptimal responders.”
